i15 were engaged by an overseas financial services organisation to design and implement a scalable analytics platform that could be utilised by their Complex Fraud Analytics team.

The brief was to design a platform that was modular in design with high performance from the start, but that could be scaled horizontally as their client base grew, and to meet the demands of an ever increasing threat landscape.

​

The team worked against a broad set of requirements to architect, design and subsequently deliver an on premise Hadoop platform based on hyperscale compute hardware.

​

Utilising the latest technology from HP the team designed a scalable hardware platform that would be capable of extending into the cloud when sufficient cloud vendors were present in the region and security was at a level the client was comfortable would meet their regulators demands.

​

A combination of Cloudera Hadoop and MongoDb were deployed in a high performance configuration to ensure near real time analytics were possible to meet the design goals of the client.

​

The work was delivered on time and in budget in a highly complex and regulated environment.
