About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to design, build, and optimise scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of architecture, data engineering, and AI innovation.

You will play a key role in shaping cloud strategy, leading solution design, and working closely with stakeholders across engineering, data, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support end-to-end cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure

• Development of scalable data platforms leveraging Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse Analytics

• Architect and integrate AI/ML solutions into cloud environments

• Define infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure repeatability and governance

• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance requirements (aligned with UK standards)

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Support DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud optimisation strategies

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect or similar role

• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure services and architecture

• Demonstrated experience with:

  • Azure Databricks

  • Azure Synapse Analytics

  • AI/ML solutions in cloud environments

  • Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)

• Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and governance

• Experience designing data platforms and pipelines at scale

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Mandatory Requirements

• Active UK NPPV3 Clearance (non-negotiable)

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines

• Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks

• Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• Familiarity with modern data architectures (e.g., lakehouse, data mesh)
